We installed this Mendip Churchill 5 stove a few weeks ago- as there was no existing chimney we broke a hole through the exterior wall and installed a twinwall chimney system.

Recent installation of an Esse 100 SE into fireplace prepared by the customer.
Fire surround made of limestone - great care had to be taken as limestone is very porous and stains easily.
A bird's nest from a bird's eye view! We had to remove this before we could do the installation.
It's always nice to receive such positive feedback!
"Owen from Glow Woodburners fitted a stove for us in Feb 2016. We had fantastic service from the initial consultation through to completion and safety checks. Owen advised us on the type of burner to consider after inspecting our fireplace. He put us in contact with scaffolder and carried out all the preparations necessary including cutting a new slate hearth and rendering the fire surround. We are delighted with the high quality work Owen did for us, our burner is perfect for our room and we would thoroughly recommend Owen to any one considering using his services. We are very happy customers!"

Recent fitting of an Ekol Clarity 5 in Bath.
Stove installed Into the fireplace which was prepared by the customer
The Ekol Clarity 5 is a DEFRA exempt stove which is a requirement in Smoke Control areas such as Bath and Bristol - we had never come across this stove before and felt it represented good value for money in terms of build quality and features and would recommend it to other customers who want a good quality stove at the lower end end of the price spectrum.
We went to quote on this recently - a builder had built this fireplace out of timber. Unfortunately this structure has to come down!
It is always worth contacting a HETAS engineer for advice before undertaking any fireplace construction.
Here is a Morso Badger we recently installed.
We had to cut out the existing fireplace insert to prevent disturbing the existing surround. The original front hearth was removed as it didn't cover the concrete of the constructional hearth- we profiled the new outer hearth around the surround and reused the old outer hearth on the inside. The inside of the fireplace was finished in two coats of lime render. Another happy customer!
